Vision

Matthew 6:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

As we look to spend time with our families this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I wanted to shift your focus and redirect your vision to something right in front of you that you may not realize.

If you’re reading this, this message is for you.

Our singular focus cannot be on things of this world. Make sure your focus is placed on and grounded in love. For you are never alone. God is with you. Some of us are in a place of darkness.

Some of us are in a stage of depression or worrying about if we have given enough. We are sitting here focusing on what we have purchased and if it is the right gift, worried about an encounter with someone in our family or worried about a broken relationship we want to mend.

Let your love be the gift. Get in a place where you can sit alone, close your eyes, and talk to your Father. Surrender yourself before you get caught up in the hustle and bustle.

We do not know what is to come. We do not know what our future will be.

What I am discovering is there is someone who can lead us on a path of righteousness grounded in love, fortified by the Gospel, and overflowing with living water.

Matthew 7:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Find the entrance to narrow gate. It is found in relationship with God. It is laid out by relationship through Holy Spirit lived out through the instruction given us in the Bible.

Approach each word in the Gospel like a child and allow the words to renew your mind. Take your eyes off of what seems right to you and give yourself a chance to get lost to who you are, focusing solely on who God says you are in the Bible.

Romans 12:2 New International Version (NIV)

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Do not chase empty things which are temporary and disposable. You’re value is seen and honored every day by Our Father in Heaven. He sees you for your created value. God only knows what you’ve been through. He sees your struggle, He knows the secrets you keep from everyone else. He can mend what is broken. He can fix what you have burning inside. He can pull you out of what is unseen.

I know because He has helped me. I know because my life is imperfect. He is helping me write my story and wants to help write yours. Your completed work may look like struggle at the beginning but His love will help in writing the perfect ending.

If you need help, reach out. If you lack anything seek the matter out and lay it on the alter. You ending will be a masterpiece and not end in tragedy.

If you have questions on where to begin, contact me through my contact info and I will send you some info.

What good is all of this if we are unwilling to Be Love, Spread Love, and lead others to know Him?

Have an amazing Christmas. May God truly give you eyes to see and ears to hear.

God Bless each of you.
